I've started putting together a list of public radio and TV shows, stations and personalities that use Twitter:

http://twitterpacks.pbwiki.com/Public-Media

NPR's new morning news show, the Bryant Park Project, twitters heavily @bpp, and I run the @nprpolitics discussion, though I'm primarily on twitter as @acarvin.

As a former journalist, I know to credit sources. But sometimes when you get into a hurry, you make an error. I did that recently and am truly sorry it happened. My apologies to Carlos Granier-Phelps of Red66 for not mentioning his article as one of my sources for the Twittering Journalists list.

In beginning research for my Twittering Journalists list in late February, I ran across a couple of stories with journalists Twitter names in them and pulled them into a Word document. I continued my research into late April with keyword searches on Twitter and added to the list.

When I started breaking the list down into manageable posts, I was in a hurry and didn't mention my sources. In addition to the Twitter searches on keywords like reporter and journalist, and reviewing followers of @reportingon at Twitter and @usnews at Twitter, sources included CNET, Poynter, as well as Red66. I have now fixed those posts to include that sourcing information.

This is just a cautionary tale to remind you to take good notes, source your material, and don't post in haste.

I was very surprised to find this list on your website (and Word document).

After all, it did take me a lot of hard work to compile it... and now, here it is, cut-and-pasted from my blog.

I'm all for sharing information (after all, isn't that what the Internet is about?) but I also believe in giving due credit to those whose work I build upon.

Ars Technica (http://twitter.com/arstechnica) was one of the first, if not first, news outlets using twitter to break news and communicate with its readers.

Several of our editors and journalists use Twitter extensively,
Jacqui Cheng, assistant editor (http://twitter.com/ejacqui) has well over 1300 followers.

Even the EIC of Ars tweets:

Other Ars twitterers:

Ben Kuchera - http://twitter.com/benkuchera
Ryan Paul - http://twitter.com/segphault
Clint Ecker - http://twitter.com/clint
