More Web Politics – Fred Thompson On The Move

Presidential contender Fred Thompson takes the web traffic lead in September, according to ClickZ.

The TV star pushed Congressman Ron Paul out of the number one position held by his site among Republican candidates since May, while longtime site traffic leader Barack Obama maintained his top ranking among Democratic presidential hopefuls.

    Fred surged ever so briefly, then sputtered out by mid September. Ron Paul now even beats obama. To his credit, however, thompson is a distant FOURTH.

    the hitwise numbers in the above comment were for the first week of October. Late September numbers were similar, except obama was in firstplace.

    At alexa.com (which i don’t always trust) ron paul never lost his first place position throughout august and september.
