A Bigger Logo Necessitates A Smaller Idea
October 18, 2007 on 1:35 pm | In Copywriting, Creative, Creativity, Marketing, Writing | 3 CommentsHello, creatives. You may have heard a client or an account executive say, “make the logo bigger.” My retort when a client made this request was, “we can do that but the idea behind the ad will have to be smaller to accommodate the logo.”
It’s ideas, not logos, that consumers remember. How many times have you heard a consumer say, “damn, that was a nice logo in that ad.”
If you have ever had to deal with a client or AE who wanted a bigger logo, you should watch this. It will make you feel better.
