In order to manage your public relations, you must know what is being said about you, your organization and the topics of concern. Right?
Sometimes you have to do some covert activity to find out who is dissing you. Here are a few resources to help you keep track of your reputation and your critical topics.
KeoTag is cool. It allows you to type in a keyword and then across a range of search engines to find the websites most likely to be covering the topic.
co.mments is a site that helps you discover who is commenting on blog posts about you or your organization.
Compete does a couple of things for you. Its search analytics lets you type in a keyword to see what sites are getting traffic for that keyword, and it lets you enter a domain to see what keywords are driving traffic there.
One of my favorites is Google Alerts. This service allows you to set up searches for keywords or topics of your choice. Then, it will alert you by email when your search picks up something.
BlogPulse is another multi-purpose site. Want to know how a keyword is doing in terms of increasing or decreasing blog mentions? Then BlogPulse’s trend feature is for you. It’s conversation tracker lets you follow who is linking to posts of interest.
