Google Gadget Ads Take Advertising To A New Level

Google Gadget Ads have arrived, according to MediaPost. Above, you’ll see one from Intel. These are widgets combined with ads that allow Google advertisers to embed RSS feeds and other rich media. Then, consumers can place the Gadget ads onto their desktops or use them in their blogs.  You could think of them as mini versions of your website.

Says Adweek,

The move is the latest by Google designed to appeal to brand advertisers and their agencies. The company’s AdSense network has gained some traction with brands, although it remains far more popular for direct-response campaigns. Initially known for its text links, Google has expanded options to include graphical ads, video and now rich media placements.
