Did Hardees Kill Advertising?

David Armano at Logic+Emotion blogged recently about  advertising being dead because Hardees killed it with a recent TV spot. Says Armano,

As predicted by some—advertising has been reduced to the equivalent of pulling it’s pants down and slapping you in the face with it’s private parts.  I’m sorry that I’m being so graphic—and I don’t even like including this clip on my blog.  No I’m not the target audience for the ad, my guess is that the target is 17+ year old men.

He is right. Advertising, like everything else in society, has sunk to new lows. There is little decorum anywhere anymore. There are some good ads out there, but this was not one of them. However, I’ll bet it sold a lot of burgers to the 15 – 17 male demo.
