Widgets – like the one above – are a great way to spread your brand message. That is – of course – if your widget is worthwhile. My above widget is a personalized search engine on the topic of advertising. I made it at WidgetBox from code developed at Eurekster. Feel free to get the code and drop it into your blog. Just click on the link beneath the widget that says Get Widget.
BlogRush Update

It was working great initially, but BlogRush was almost too successful and underwent some serious reprogramming. It has taken much longer than they anticipated to fix. BlogRush is about to roll out the new version and I’ll be interested to see how it works. If you have a blog and are using the service, let us know your experience.

Above, you’ll see one from Intel. These are widgets combined with ads that allow Google advertisers to embed RSS feeds and other rich media. Then, consumers can place the Gadget ads onto their desktops or use them in their blogs. You could think of them as mini versions of your website.
