It’s funny how when you start thinking about a certain topic – like content development or web design – that you start seeing more and more references to it. I guess it is because you are attuned to it. Anyway, I’ve been running across some excellent articles on content development, as well as web design and thought I’d share with the class.

How are you helping your visitors find their way around your website? Do you have a good grasp of what visitors are looking for when they visit you? Do you provide them with visual references so they’ll know where they are in your site at all times? Are you leaving them some breadcrumbs to follow? This is something we struggle with when we are designing sites.

A survey just released by the CMO Council indicates that nearly half of marketers will fire one of its agencies and change direction in 2008. So, consider this an invitation to you corporate clients who are thinking about getting rid of those outdated agencies. Adweek, in its story on the results, says:

I just ran across a site too good to leave unreported. It’s called For Webdesigners and claims to have 450 helpful links for webdesigners. I didn’t count them all, but there are a lot.

OK, I am bragging a bit today. When Irwin Industrial Tools developed a national tradesman contest called the Irwin Ultimate Tradesman Challenge they needed a website designed, built and launched in less than a month.

The company selected My Creative Team to make them and their promotional website look good.
