A Silver Lining In This Cloud
May 29, 2012 on 6:05 pm | In Content Marketing, Marketing, My Creative Team, Online, Research, Twitter, Writing | 1 CommentAre your tweets falling on deaf ears? Maybe you are not using the right words. I’ve been using some free tools to delve into what my followers tweet about most often. You’ll see some of the major themes in the word cloud above.
SocialBro is one of the tools I have been using for this purpose. It’s free and there is a Google Chrome app for it, too.
You can use SocialBro to find out what your community is talking about, as well as its primary interests and you can see the topics of both your followers and your friends. Sometimes these can be vastly different. Marketing and media are discussed almost equally by my followers and friends. My followers, however, tend to have a little more laser focus on the social aspect of the web than do my friends.
You might discover new topics with which to engage your friends and followers. Further, you can drill down by tags to find out specifically which friends or followers are talking about that word.
If you want to find out what you tweet about most, or you want to see what a specific friends or follower tweets about most, you might want to use TweetCloud. Here’s my TweetCloud.
So, go to the cloud to research your Twitter tribe and then use the information to write engaging tweets. Please let us know if there are any surprises in your cloud.
