Twittering Journalists Update
November 3, 2008 on 10:13 am | In Twitter, Media Relations, Media, Journalism |Our Twittering Journalists wiki has undergone good growth since the last time we discussed it. Peter Shankman from Help A Reporter Out mentioned it recently and we had an explosion of people signing up to help keep the list up-to-date. If you haven’t visited, please do and let me know any thoughts you have on making the wiki more useful.
We need to find more reporters and media outlets from countries outside the US. Send those along if you have them.
Also, I’m thinking of segmenting the list into categories such as: Broadcast, Newspaper, Trade Publication, Internet Based. Please let me know if you think this would be helpful.
UPDATE: PB Wiki has told me that it will begin charging $4 per user per month beginning in December. I’m sorry but I have to deauthorize all but three users to maintain its free status. So, send me any updates you have for the list. Thanks.

Interesting wiki, thanks for putting it together. On your segmentation question, I don’t think a breakdown by media type would be helpful but segmenting by subject/coverage would be extremely valuable. While this would be more time consuming for you, even broad subject groupings would make the list much more useful.
